Car Seat Safety

The Orange County Health Department in conjunction with the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) provides Car Seat Safety Classes for expectant mothers. Classes are $20, which covers the cost of the car seat. Registration is required. For more information please call 407-254-6893 or 407 254-6822.

Register early. Classes fill up quickly. 10 stand-by spaces will be available after the class is considered full. We are unable to guarantee that a space for the class will be available for those on stand-by.

Class will be held at Central Health Center, 1:00pm on the following dates:

  • January: 14, 20, 26
  • February: 11, 17, 23
  • March: 11, 17, 23
  • April: 8, 21, 27
  • May: 13, 19, 25
  • June: 10, 16, 22

In order to receive a car seat you will need to:

  • Attend one of the training classes listed above
  • Provide proof that you are receiving public assistance (Florida or Orange County) and / or WIC benefits.
  • Contribute $20 to cover the cost of the class and car seat.
