Insulin Medication Program (This Service is Provided Only at the Central Health Center)

The Orange County Health Department offers variety of prescribed medications for diabetics. The Eligibility Office will assist you in determining if you qualify for these medications.

The Insulin Medication Program is available to individuals that meet the following requirements:

 

 

 

• Must have a current prescription for insulin written by a licensed health care practitioner
• Must be uninsured or insurance does not cover insulin
• Must meet income eligibility
• Must be an Orange County Resident (proof of residency required.)

If an individual does not meet the program requirements, and cannot purchase insulin, a one-time one month supply may be issued.

Insulin provided is injectable only. Syringes and other diabetic supplies are not provided.
