Breastfeeding

For Baby

  • Your breast milk
  • Plus each month through 6-11 months:
    • 24 oz of baby cereal
    • 256 oz of baby fruits and vegetables (64, 4 ounce jars)
    • 77.5 oz of baby meats (31, 2.5 ounce jars)

For Mom

  • 6 gallons of 1% lowfat or fat free milk and 1 pound of cheese or 4.5 gallons of 1% lowfat or fat free milk and 3 pounds of cheese
  • 36 ounces of breakfast cereal (with more whole grain choices)
  • 1 pound of whole wheat bread or 1 pound of brown rice or 1 pound of soft corn tortillas
  • 144 ounces of fruit juice
  • 2 dozen eggs
  • Choice of:
    • 1 pound of dry beans or 4, 16 ounce cans of beans and 18 ounces of peanut butter
    • 2 pounds of dry beans or 8, 16 ounce cans of beans
    • 36 ounces of peanut butter
  • 30 ounces of canned tuna fish or salmon
  • $10 voucher for fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables

Note: Mothers fully breastfeeding 2 or more babies will receive 1.5 times this amount of food.
