Can I get tested for Hepatitis Type A, B or other types of Hepatitis? Yes, Hepatitis A, B and C testing are a part of our regular STD Services.

Can I get vaccinated for Hepatitis B? Yes, we provide vaccinations for Hepatitis B.

How many shots do I need to have? The vaccine is a series of 3 shots over a 6 month period. Once you complete the course of 3 shots, you are set for life.

How is Hepatitis B transmitted? Hepatitis B is transmitted through blood and infected boy fluids. This can occur by having unprotected sex, sharing needles, or through vaginal delivery from mother to child.

I am pregnant and have Hepatitis B, what about my newborn? If a woman has Hepatitis B then her newborn must receive a Hepatitis B vaccine and Immune Globulin within the first 12 hours of life. In addition, the baby must receive the second and third doses at one and six months of age to insure complete protection. Post vaccine testing should be done when the child reaches 9 to 12 months of age.
