Genital HPV infection is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that is caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is one strain of more than 30 sexually transmitted disease caused by HPV. HPV currently affects more than half of sexually active individuals at some point in their lives. It is generally transmitted through vaginal, anal, and oral sex. It can also be transmitted from mother to newborn during vaginal childbirth.
Signs & Symptoms: Individuals with Genital HPV infection may have symptoms within weeks or months, or may be asymptomatic (without symptoms)
