no smoking The Tobacco Prevention Program seeks to help smokers quit, prevent youth from starting the use of tobacco, and protect everyone from secondhand smoke.  This is done by increasing awareness about the risk of tobacco use and secondhand smoke, providing cessation support and coordinating a SWAT (Students working Against Tobacco) club in our public middle and high schools.

Be Free from Tobacco

There are many resources available for those wanting to quit. Tobacco Cessation Classes are available through the Central Florida AHEC Tobacco Program. Please check their website for dates and times.

The Florida Quitline offers free counseling, nicotine patches, gum and other cessation aids. If you or someone you know wants to be free from tobacco please call the Quitline at: 1-877-U-CAN-NOW or 1-877-822-6669.
