Community Assessment

The Center for Public Health Research and Evaluation conducts an array of research based projects.  The program monitors trends in health disparities, chronic diseases, infant mortality, HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. The program also performs both process and outcome based evaluations for programs within and without the health department. 

The center analyzes large and small data sets using the latest advanced statistical software packages. It not only analyzes generated data, but also has the capacity to participate in all phases of data collection, from survey design, to data input, and dissemination.

The Orange County Health Department and the Office of Community Health is committed to helping improve the health of our community through monitoring disease disparities, and evaluating public health programs.
