Orlando, FL – Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) is urging all parents/guardians to register their child for the new Club Lunch program before school begins on Monday, August 20, 2012. Club Lunch is the meal program for all OCPS students, and includes the All Paid Up (pre payment) program and the Meal Benefits (Free and Reduced Meal) program.
Parents/guardians can register their OCPS child for the All Paid Up program by going to www.myLunchMoney.com. For those parents/guardians who qualify for Meal Benefits support, they can register their OCPS child at www.ocpsmealapp.comor call 407-317-3966. There is live support Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
“Early registration in the Club Lunch program allows our schools to gauge the number of students who will actually be eating our nutritious school meals, and also the potential federal benefits our schools can receive for their students,” said Lora Gilbert, senior director of OCPS Food & Nutrition Services.
OCPS FNS serves more than 27 million meals and snacks each year. That is approximately 157,000 breakfast and lunch meals daily. The department brings in more than $57 million in federal dollars to the school district, providing award-winning programs.
