Wanna be B.A.D.?
-

B.A.D. stands for "Be Aware of Distractions!" It is a campaign to educate teen drivers on the many driving distractions, both physical and mental, that may increase the likelihood of being involved in a potentially deadly motor vehicle crash.

Driving Distractions can be physical or mental. Physical distractions are those that cause us to physically take our hands off the wheel while driving. Mental distractions are those that take a driver's mind off the road and decrease their alertness.

Some common Driving Distractions inlcude:

  • Cell phones, texting, and other electronic devices
  • Passengers
  • Eating and drinking
  • Daydreaming or not alert
