The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (FL CLPPP) has another consumer product alert/recall to share with you. We have attached information describing the products. Please be aware of these sources and help advise parents and caregivers of the potential danger of these products.
Lead poisoning can affect nearly every system in the body. Because lead poisoning often occurs with no obvious symptoms, it frequently goes unrecognized. Lead poisoning can cause learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and, at very high levels, seizures, coma, and even death.
You can help us educate others by doing the following:
- Share this alert with clients, family members and neighbors with young children.
- Provide a copy of the alert to pediatricians and health care providers.
- Post pictures of recalled items at childcare centers or other places visited by families with young children.
Visit the Florida's Lead Alert Network to view pictures of recalled products.
