ORLANDO – In an effort to provide the latest information concerning adolescent and adult immunizations, the Central Florida Immunization Coalition presents the Sixth Annual Immunization Update. This update will take place Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 8:00am – 1:00pm at the Orange County Health Department located at 6101 Lake Ellenor Drive, Orlando.

Speakers will share their knowledge on a variety of topics including; adult and adolescent immunizations, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and seasonal flu and pneumonia.

“This workshop is an opportunity for the health and medical community to come together and make a significant impact on raising immunization rates and help protect Central Florida citizens,” said Dr. Kevin M. Sherin, Director of the Orange County Health Department and member of the Central Florida Immunization Coalition.

The Central Florida Immunization Coalition invites obstetricians, pediatricians, family practitioners, nurses, nursing students, medical assistants, communicable disease staff, and medical office managers to register to participate in this workshop.

Free Continuing Education (CE’s) will be available through the Area Health Education Centers (AHEC). Breakfast will also be provided to workshop participants.
