Objectives:
- To increase vaccine coverage
levels among 2 year old children to at least 90% by the year 2008.
- To provide access to free vaccinations for children.
- To form and strengthen partnerships with local communities.
- To improve quality and
quantity of vaccination services in Orange County.
Services:
- Free immunizations to any child from birth through age 18.
- Free immunizations and WIC recertifications provided at selected WIC sites.
- Computerized assessment (CASA) for private providers seeking diagnostic evaluation of their immunization service.
- Educational services to health care providers.
- Participation in community
health fairs.
- Ongoing infant surveys to track selected infants 2 months through 15 months of age for completion of their primary immunization series.
- Coordination of mass immunization projects, such as the 7th Grade Requirements Initiative.
